Mandate

The Centre de recherche ViSÉ at Collège Montmorency entrusted Erod with the creation of a brand identity that reflects its committed approach to social science research.

The mandate was to design a distinctive, accessible visual identity that aligns with the College’s brand ecosystem while allowing the Centre to establish its own unique personality.

Our team developed a comprehensive brand platform, including the logo, visual identity system, tagline, brand guidelines, and a series of digital and print communication tools designed to support the Centre’s day-to-day communications.

Think

From the earliest stages of the project, the creative process centered on a key challenge: translating the rigor of academic research into a visual language that feels more human, accessible, and engaging.

Erod developed a brand approach that strikes a balance between institutional credibility and approachability. The goal was to enable the ViSÉ Research Centre to connect with both academic and community audiences while maintaining a strong and natural alignment with the Collège Montmorency brand ecosystem.

Create

To bring this vision to life, Erod created a visual identity inspired by the concepts of knowledge sharing, dialogue, and collaboration.

Key elements of the Collège Montmorency visual identity were reinterpreted through a warmer, more contemporary lens, particularly with a typographic system that emphasizes hierarchy and varied font weights to create rhythm and clarity.

The symbol itself draws inspiration from the lines of the College’s logo, reimagined as a more organic, circular composition that reflects exchange, connection, and the evolution of communities.

The colour palette combines structured shades of blue with more vibrant secondary colours, creating a visual identity that is both credible and inclusive.

Designed as a flexible visual system, the brand identity adapts seamlessly across reports, presentations, and the Centre’s digital communication tools.

Display

The visual identity was then extended across a range of print and digital materials, enabling the Centre de recherche ViSÉ to maintain a strong and consistent presence throughout all of its communications.

Designed to evolve alongside the Centre, the visual system streamlines the day-to-day use of its various communication tools while ensuring clear visual continuity across every brand touchpoint.
